Reasons I Write

I love to write in my journal. I have for a long time now. What use to be a suggestion from church leaders has now become a passion. I love taking a few moments every night to write. I write about what I do, what I think, what I learn, what I experience, what opportunities have come to my life. I write about anything and everything. I just began a new journal. It is not really a big deal to complete a journal anymore because I have come to realize that when one journal ends only the pages run out. Not my ideas or experiences. So really a new journal is just a need for more pages. My first journal covers 1997-2005 while my most recent journal does not even cover an entire year. I love to look back on all my journal entries. They usually bring a lot of laughter. Here are a couple of reasons I continue to write.
I write so that I can remember that on November 21st, 1997 "I play with Stehpen" and two days later "I play with Jordn."
I write so that I can remember that on Saturday April 3rd, 2000 "I went to conferens in the new building. It was my first time. It was long."
I write so that I can remember that I have been in "love" with everyone from Bryan Duffy in 5th grade to... well let's just say I have been in "love" a lot!
I write to remember that the tender mercies of the Lord are over all.
I write because what is truly important in my life continues to change. I like to remember what was important to me during different period of my life.
I write to remember that I live each day and I need to be thankful for every day of my life.
I write because time passes so fast and in my writing I can hold on to moments of time. I can capture these small moments and keep them close to my heart.
