Ever since I can remember my family have joined with the Bodines to take an annual trip to Hebgen Lake Montana. The highway that connects Idaho Falls to West Yellowstone is a very familiar drive. The Frostop is a great marker as a half way point in a drive to one of my favorite places on earth. Across the street from this delicious location is a great purple slide. Every year as a child all would say "We made it to the Frostop! Half way there." I would look out the other window and yearn to slide down the purple slide. Just once would be enough. In the month of August 2005 my dream was fulfilled. That dream accomplished has encouraged me to continue to follow my dreams and create and accomplish goals. Goals I have accomplished since then include, riding the elevator at Idaho Falls High School, waking up at 6:30 a.m. (which is a great goal I think), going to a concert, and sitting in the single seat at the Playmill (which no longer exists. I am glad I had the support to accomplish that goal before it was no longer available.) Some of the goals I hope to accomplish in the near future include learning how to fill a car up with gas, counting all the raisins in a box of raisin bran, and reading 20 Newbery Medal or Honor Books.
So what are your goals? How will you accomplish those things you most desire to do? I have found that goals do not have to be extravagant to be fulfilling (obviously). So continue to dream. And then make those dreams come true!
A Dream Fulfilled!
